News from Quilt Shop Co-op August 23

Did you try to buy Marble Essence Strip Rolls recently, and found that they were all gone? (Sold out in a day!) We restocked them.

Each roll has 27 - 2.5 inch wide strips.

Don't lose out again!

(Blocks of the Month)

Beginning in October and lasting for 6 months will be The Roaring Twenties Block of the Month from Studio E Fabrics. The finished quilt (72" X 84") is a gorgeous Art Deco pattern in the rich colors of "Peppered Cottons" designed by Pepper Cory for Studio E Fabrics. (Peppered Cottons are yarn-dyed shot cottons, meaning the weft and warp are two different colors, giving each color a unique look.) Quilt designer, Judith Gauthier, has recorded several videos for help in sewing each month’s block that are available on the Studio E Fabrics website.

Pattern and fabrics will be available from Quilt Shop Co-op.

Beginning in January 2022 and lasting for 12 months, will be Toes in the Sand Block of the Month.

The "Toes in the Sand" pattern uses "Daydreamer," Tula Pink’s newest line of fabrics with a pattern from Jaybird Quilts. (Finished quilt measures 64" X 84")

Daydreamer fabrics will debut in November 2021, and will be available at Quilt Shop Co-op along with the pattern and the "Hex-N-More" ruler from Jaybird Quilts. Pre-register for $25 (applied to fabric purchase) on the Quilt Shop Co-op website to save a spot.

As she has recently stepped down from the Co-op's Board of Directors, the Board would like to acknowledge the contributions, for over a year, that Patti Peterson has made to Quilt Shop Co-op's growth. Patti was instrumental in setting up Like Sew, (the shop's POS system), creating a budget for the past fiscal year, assisting with financial matters, finding money-saving resources, serving on the Inventory and Annual Meeting Committees, and much more. Thank you, Patti!

Caroline Rinker has agreed to be an interim replacement to the Board. Caroline is recently retired from her work in marketing and business development. This summer she has been active on the Co-op's Marketing Committee, where she has shown energy, initiative, and thoughtfulness. Caroline is most interested in helping QSC to stabilize and grow, and to recruit more volunteer members.
