Three Ways to Paper Piece
Students will learn three methods of paper piecing: traditional, folded freezer paper, and hybrid. Paper piecing allows quilters to create more intricate designs with fabric. At the end of the session, students will have made 3 paper pieced triangles using each of the three techniques.
Students will need to bring:
Rotary cutter ruler 6-12 inches long
Sewing machine in good working order with a new needle
Thread, scissors, wound bobbins, small rotary cutter (small mat if you have one, large mats are available in the classroom)
Add-A-Quarter 6" ruler
A "wooden iron" or "seam roller" to flatten sewn seams
Students receive 10% off class supplies purchased at City Blocks Quilt Shop.
Class meets Saturday, September 21, from 10am - 1pm
Instructor: Twila Richter is a popular instructor who teaches a variety of quilting classes across the state. She has taught Beginning Quilting and One Block Wonder quilts at City Blocks several times.
